There are products with a 2-3 rating for ingredients that are similar to EWG verified. Which essentially just means bought and paid for. This is their OWN admission:

Yes. To achieve verification, products must score below our threshold for hazard concerns, and companies must demonstrate that their ingredients and products meet all of EWG’s strict criteria. Depending on several factors, including the number of ingredients and the hazards associated with them, it is possible for the overall formulation to be verifiable with an ingredient that scores yellow.”

I am not interested in a debate with whether EWG, Yuka, etc are valuable or not. You get to choose resources for yourself, and I’m just posting this to raise awareness for a common misconception I see around.
